The Journal of Epidemiology (/ˌɛpɪˌdiːmiˈɒlədʒi/; from Greek epi, "upon or above", demos, "people", and logos, "study") is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes significant and up-to-date research in the field of epidemiology. The journal is dedicated to advancing the understanding of disease distribution and health determinants in populations worldwide.
History
The Journal of Epidemiology was first published in 1991. It was established to provide a platform for researchers to publish their findings in the field of epidemiology. The journal is published by the Japan Epidemiological Association.
Scope
The Journal of Epidemiology covers all areas of epidemiological research, including descriptive epidemiology, analytical epidemiology, molecular epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, psychiatric epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, and genetic epidemiology. It also publishes articles on biostatistics, public health, health policy, and health economics.
