Motilal Nehru Medical College (pronunciation: mo-ti-lal neh-ru me-di-cal col-lege) is a prestigious medical institution located in Allahabad, India. It was established in the year 1961 and is named after the famous Indian freedom fighter, Motilal Nehru.

History

The college was established by the efforts of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, who wanted to honor his father, Motilal Nehru, by creating a world-class medical institution in his name. The college was inaugurated by the then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

Courses

Motilal Nehru Medical College offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in various fields of medicine and surgery. The college is affiliated with the University Grants Commission and is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
