ACC Network

The ACC Network (ACCN) is an American multinational subscription television channel that is owned and operated by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. The channel is dedicated to coverage of collegiate sports sanctioned by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), including live and recorded event telecasts, news, analysis programs, and other content focusing on the conference's member schools.

History

The ACC Network was officially announced on July 21, 2016, and launched on August 22, 2019. The network was created to provide comprehensive coverage of ACC sports, similar to other conference-specific networks like the Big Ten Network and the SEC Network. The launch of the ACC Network was part of a larger media rights agreement between the ACC and ESPN, which also included the creation of a digital platform, ACC Network Extra.

Programming

The ACC Network broadcasts a variety of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and more. The network's programming includes live game broadcasts, studio shows, and original programming.

Live Game Broadcasts

The ACC Network airs live broadcasts of ACC sports events, including regular-season games, conference championships, and other special events. The network covers both men's and women's sports, providing extensive coverage of the conference's athletic programs.

Studio Shows

The network features several studio shows that provide news, analysis, and commentary on ACC sports. Some of the notable studio shows include:

  • Packer and Durham - A morning show hosted by Mark Packer and Wes Durham that covers ACC sports news and features interviews with coaches, players, and other personalities.
  • All ACC - A nightly news and highlights show that provides comprehensive coverage of the day's ACC sports events.

Original Programming

The ACC Network also produces original programming that highlights the history and traditions of the ACC and its member schools. This includes documentaries, profiles of notable athletes and coaches, and other special features.

Availability

The ACC Network is available to subscribers of various cable, satellite, and streaming services. The network is also accessible through the ESPN App, allowing viewers to watch live and on-demand content on their mobile devices and other connected devices.
