Adams House is one of the twelve undergraduate residential colleges at Harvard College, part of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Established in 1931, it is named after John Adams, the second President of the United States, and his family, who were prominent in the early history of Harvard.

History

Adams House was formed in 1931 by the merger of two Harvard dormitories, Randolph Hall and Westmorly Court, along with the acquisition of the adjacent Apthorp House. The house is known for its distinctive architecture, which includes a mix of Georgian Revival and Federal styles.

The house consists of several buildings, including Randolph Hall, Westmorly Court, and Apthorp House. Apthorp House, built in 1760, is one of the oldest buildings in Cambridge and serves as the residence for the House Masters.
