A hearty and delicious keto friendly recipe, Creamy Venison Stew is a perfect dish for those on a low-carb diet. This recipe is packed with protein and healthy fats, making it a great choice for those following the ketogenic diet.
Ingredients[edit]
- 2 lbs venison, cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions[edit]
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the venison and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the venison from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Return the venison to the pot and add the beef broth, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the venison is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.
