Eugene Gu was born in San Francisco, California. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a degree in Biology. He later attended the Duke University School of Medicine, where he received his M.D. degree.

Medical Career

After completing his medical degree, Gu began his residency in general surgery at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
