Pliva


Pliva is a pharmaceutical company based in Zagreb, Croatia. It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Central Europe and the Balkans. Pliva is a subsidiary of the multinational pharmaceutical company, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.

History

Pliva was founded in 1921, originally under the name Koprivnica. It was renamed to Pliva in 1930. The company has a long history of producing a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and generic drugs.

In 2008, Pliva was acquired by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, a global pharmaceutical company based in Israel. This acquisition has allowed Pliva to expand its reach and influence in the global pharmaceutical market.
