Tandoori Paneer Tikka
Tandoori Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian dish made from paneer (Indian cottage cheese), marinated in yogurt and spices, and then grilled until it is golden and slightly charred. This recipe is keto-friendly, meaning it is low in carbohydrates and high in fat, making it suitable for those following a ketogenic diet.
Ingredients
- 250 grams of paneer
- 1 cup of yogurt (preferably full-fat)
- 1 tablespoon of tandoori masala
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- Vegetables for grilling (optional): bell peppers, onions, tomatoes
Instructions
- Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and red chili powder.
- Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Ensure all the cubes are well coated with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl and let the paneer marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers, alternating with vegetables if using.
- Grill the skewers for about 15 minutes, or until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
- Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh coriander leaves.
