IOS 13
Thirteenth major release of iOS, Apple's mobile operating system
iOS 13 is the thirteenth major release of the iOS mobile operating system developed by Apple Inc. for their iPhone and iPod Touch lines. It was announced at the company's WWDC 2019 event on June 3, 2019, and was released on September 19, 2019. iOS 13 introduced a variety of new features and improvements over its predecessor, iOS 12.
Features
iOS 13 brought several new features and enhancements, including:
- Dark Mode: A system-wide dark mode that changes the appearance of the operating system and supported apps to a darker color scheme, which is easier on the eyes in low-light environments.
- Performance Improvements: Optimizations that make the system faster and more responsive, including faster app launch times and reduced app download sizes.
- Photos and Camera: New editing tools for photos and videos, as well as improvements to the camera app, including a new portrait lighting effect.
- Sign in with Apple: A privacy-focused single sign-on service that allows users to sign in to apps and websites using their Apple ID.
- Maps: A redesigned Maps app with more detailed maps, a new "Look Around" feature similar to Google Street View, and improved navigation.
- Privacy Enhancements: New privacy features, including more control over location data and the ability to limit access to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi data.
- Siri: Improvements to Siri, including a more natural-sounding voice and the ability to read incoming messages through AirPods.
- Reminders: A completely redesigned Reminders app with new features like smart lists and improved organization.
- Health: New health features, including menstrual cycle tracking and hearing health monitoring.

Release History
iOS 13 was officially released on September 19, 2019. Subsequent updates included various bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features. The final version, iOS 13.7, was released on September 1, 2020.
