The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) is the engineering school within Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and applied sciences.

History

The origins of SEAS date back to 1847 with the establishment of the Lawrence Scientific School, which was one of the first schools in the United States to offer a formal education in engineering. In 2007, the school was renamed the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In 2015, it was renamed again to honor John A. Paulson, who donated $400 million to the school.
