Fictional family in the animated television series The Simpsons



The Simpson family is a fictional family featured in the animated television series The Simpsons. The family was created by Matt Groening and first appeared on television in The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987. The Simpsons are a satirical depiction of a working-class American family, consisting of Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, and their three children: Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. They live in the fictional town of Springfield.

Homer Simpson is the father of the Simpson family. He works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant as a safety inspector. Homer is known for his love of doughnuts, Duff Beer, and his catchphrase, "D'oh!"

Marge Simpson

Bart Simpson
